Look who we’ve helped – it could be you!

It’s been a great year so far; we have hosted an event with SNAP, further built out our tech platform, expanded our product suite, and helped some great studios. Thanks to a couple of them, we can now share a few client stories with you. Earlier this year we helped Kwalee and Virttrade with their growth plans, and it’s now all live, and written up on our site here.

We’ve known the guys at Kwalee for a long time, and played their games almost non stop (TENS! took over my life for a good few months!). Kwalee is an expanding, independent, mobile game developer based in Leamington Spa who came to us for help and support with their short term cash flow issues. So how did we help?

Kwalee was going through a period of rapid expansion. They had 3 hit games in the top of the US App Store rankings – Looper!, PLANK! & Go Fish. In order to keep the titles growing, they needed to spend a lot on marketing, and although they were generating significant revenue, waiting for the revenue to be paid each month whilst having to market them created short term cash flow issues. Thats where Play Capital came in, one of our 3 core products.

We acted quickly and gave them some short term flexible loans on the strength of advertising revenue they had generated but not yet been paid for. They commented that “this allowed us to continue to fund a lot of ongoing UA activity and to keep the momentum going”

Virttrade was another great studio we had known for a while, an introduction from a tech fund who we know well. They needed a different financial solution, as they wanted to access their VGTR refund early; and that’s where Play Credits came in.

We were able to give them a loan against VGTR in the timeframe they needed. We can do this for claims already submitted, or for potential future claims.  We just need to assess your tax credit status, then we make a quick decision, and give you the money now so you don’t have to wait. One less thing to worry about.
